A person was killed after a shooting incident in a residential building in Etobicoke on Sunday evening. The incident occurred at 30 Humberline Drive, south of Finch Avenue West.
The police also said that at about 5:45 AM, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the building where they found the victim shot in one of the apartments. The officers then began lifesaving procedures on the victim, and paramedics took over upon arrival.
Additionally, Salim Hussein, the duty inspector of the Toronto Police, told reporters at the scene: "Toronto paramedics arrived at the incident and continued to treat the man until he was declared dead. At this time, we have no suspicious information, but the investigation has been transferred to a special team."
Hussein added that the victim was said to be in their late teens or early twenties. The circumstances that led to the shooting are still unknown, but the police are canvassing the area in search of witnesses.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the police.
