Bill No. 15, a comprehensive health reform bill, was approved at 5:15 AM today, Saturday, in the legislative assembly in Quebec.
Discussions about the law to make the health and social services system more efficient continued throughout Friday night.
The proposal was adopted after an electronic vote in the National Assembly, with a majority of 75 votes to 27 and no abstentions.
Parliamentary proceedings were postponed until January 30, 2024.
The Legault government resorted to a shutdown — the fifth since coming to power — to enforce the passage of Bill No. 15, the comprehensive health reform approved by Health Minister Christian Dubé.
