During his speech at the event commemorating International Human Rights Day this morning, Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Journalists' Syndicate, Nasser Abu Bakr, the head of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, confirmed that more than 75 journalists have been martyred and 140 others injured, some of them with amputated limbs.
He added that the occupation's targeting of journalists is a punishment for them for carrying out their mission of conveying the truth and exposing the lies of the Zionist media machine, confirming that the latest statistics record the martyrdom of families of 300 journalists.
Regarding social media, Nasser Abu Bakr considered that the war on Gaza revealed the falsehood of these sites and their complicity by deleting millions of tweets supporting the Palestinian people while keeping tweets inciting against the Palestinian people, saying: "I challenge the whole world to find a single fabricated news about a Palestinian journalist."
