The district police announced on Wednesday that the human remains found in the waters at "Dunnville" the previous day are the remains of a young girl.

The police said the crime unit has an investigation and will provide an update when new information becomes available. Authorities have also set up a special hotline for tips and for anyone with information that could help in their investigation.
Residents are asked to call 1-844-677-9403, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
