Six products have been recalled including soft cookies, chewy bars, and Life Breakfast Ovals sold under the Enjoy Life brand. The recall is taking place across Canada and the United States because hard plastic pieces may have contaminated these products.

The warning issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency on Saturday said, "The recalled products were sold in Canadian stores and online."

The warning added, "This recall resulted from a recall of products in another country." and "No injuries related to the consumption of these products have been reported."

The products are as follows:

LifeSoft - Snickerdoodle, 170 grams, UPC 853522 00018 4, best by 23 / MR / 10.

LifeSoft - Chocolate Chips, 170 grams, UPC 853522 00019 1, best by 23 / MR / 05 and 23 / MR / 12.

LifeSoft - Double Chocolate Brownie, 170 grams, UPC 853522 00021 4, best by 23 / MR / 06.

LifeChewy - Chocolate and Caramel Chips, 165 grams, UPC 8 19597 01133 3, best by 23 / MR / 03.

Life Breakfast Ovals - Chocolate Banana Chips, 250 grams, UPC 8 19597 01270 5, best by 23 / JA / 18 and 23 / JA / 19.

Life Breakfast Ovals - Berry Medley, 250 grams, UPC 8 19597 01271 2, best by 23 / FE / 10 and 23 / MR / 10.

The CFIA warning said "Do not consume, use, sell, offer or distribute the recalled products" as posted on the Healthy Canadians website. "Recalled products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase."

The agency said a food safety investigation is underway and other products might also need to be recalled.

More chocolate from the Kinder brand has been recalled due to Salmonella risks and some Jif peanut butter products have been recalled in Canada due to potential Salmonella risks. Enjoy Life Natural Brands, LLC is headquartered in Chicago.

A notice posted on June 30 on the company's website said the company was voluntarily recalling the specified products in the United States due to the possibility of hard plastic pieces. The company said "The company became aware of this issue as a result of internal quality control."
