The Canadian Soccer Federation announced in an official statement yesterday, Monday, the absence of its international goalkeeper "Maxime Crépeau" from the Qatar 2022 World Cup finals, after the player suffered a leg fracture during the final of the "USL Championship" soccer on last Saturday.

"Crépeau," who plays professionally for "Los Angeles FC," managed to win the title for the first time in his club's history, after winning on penalties (3-0) against "Philadelphia," in the match held at Bank of California Stadium.

It is worth noting that the 28-year-old goalkeeper has participated with the Canadian national team in "15 official matches," including five matches in the "CONCACAF qualifiers" for the 2022 World Cup, and six matches in the "CONCACAF Championship," and he is considered the second goalkeeper in the national team, after the main player "Milan Borjan," who plays for "Red Star Belgrade" in Serbia.

It is worth mentioning that this injury is the second for the Canadian national team, which will also miss the services of defender "Scott Kennedy," after he was excluded last week from the preliminary list, due to a shoulder injury with his team "Jahn Regensburg" in Germany.

Canada will play in Group F in the "2022 World Cup," alongside Morocco, Belgium, and Croatia.
