North Korea said it conducted training for a tactical nuclear strike simulating strikes on command posts and airports in South Korea in "warning" after the United States deployed strategic bombers in the region.
The Korean Central News Agency reported that "the missile unit launched two tactical ballistic missiles toward the northeast from Pyongyang International Airport and successfully carried out the nuclear strike mission."
The South Korean military also stated that North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles into the sea on Wednesday evening, hours after the United States deployed B-1B bombers as part of joint air drills between the two allied countries.
