No Water in the Vein by the Poet Jihad Abu Hashish

No Water in the Vein by the Poet Jihad Abu Hashish

Steps intertwine,

A lady treats her rouge,

But she does not notice

A bullet that may not come from the front.

Nothing occupies her mind except the little one:

Mama, I want the sea as a fruit

And I love to inherit a lot,

Games that break my loneliness,

And a little brother.

But she does not notice,

Nothing on the shelf resembles her,

No water in the water of the vein,

As if she is crucified by silence

Between two separators

She asks herself, what do I want?
