The closer the distance to you
The interior street expands greatly.. and the poet within me shrinks more and more..
From your first step on my crowded sidewalks filled with the chatter of passersby about my dim light poles whose light was consumed by their fleeting shadows
And your waiting under my umbrellas that have become murals embodying the victories of crossing despite the defeats.
At that time you will realize that the pulse of the street is more eloquent than the poet's heartbeat.
One day
By your closeness, I will become a city.
