The Dutch police said in a statement that three people were injured in a shooting incident on Saturday night during the summer carnival taking place in the streets of the coastal city of Rotterdam.
The police added that they fired several gunshots at the attacker, who was transported along with the injured to the hospital, but their condition is unknown.
The police clarified in a separate statement that a similar incident occurred earlier during the same carnival, but did not provide any further details.
