More than 85 percent of delegates at the Ontario New Democratic Party conference gave leader Andrea Horwath the green light ahead of the provincial election in June.
According to the party constitution, delegates at each conference vote by secret ballot either to support the current leader or to hold a leadership contest.
Horwath has led the party since 2009.
She says she "feels happy and humbled" to have received the party's support.
Horwath also took the opportunity to point out some early election promises: a $20 minimum wage, and $10-a-day child care.
