For most council members, it is almost a return to normal, but for Catherine Kitts, it is the beginning.
The Ottawa City Council is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, March 23, and for the first time since the spring of 2020, most council members will be in their seats.
Jan Harder, Matt Luloff, and Scott Moffatt will attend via virtual space.
For a longtime council member like Tim Tierney, it is a reminder to stay fit.
For councillor Cumberland Catherine Kitts, who was elected in a by-election in October 2020, this is the first time she has had the opportunity to sit around the council table.
"I never had the chance to sit in my seat and participate in an in-person meeting, there are actually two council members I have never met in person."
For now, committee meetings will remain virtual.
