Time Out magazine published on April 3, 2023, its ranking of the best cities in the world for public transportation, highlighting 19 cities worldwide.
To determine the cities, the global magazine surveyed more than 20,000 city residents across more than 50 different cities.
Time Out wrote: “We asked: Is it easy to get around your city using public transport? In the ranked cities, four out of five locals had good things to say about their city’s public transport network.”
Berlin ranked first, followed by Prague, then Tokyo, Copenhagen, and Stockholm.
Montreal also managed to secure the 16th spot on the list.
The magazine said about Montreal: “Canada’s second-largest city is a pleasure to explore, whether on foot or via the advanced public transport system, with 83 percent of Montreal residents saying it is easy to get around the city using public transit.”
