One man killed and another seriously injured in a shooting incident overnight in North York

A man in his twenties died and another man was seriously injured but his life is not threatened after a shooting during the night in North York.

The police responded to reports of a shooting on Stiles Avenue West and Weston Road on Saturday just before 2 a.m.

Officers said two men were shot, one was taken to hospital via emergency services and was pronounced dead.

The police added that the second man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and officers confirmed that a criminal investigation is underway and are asking anyone with information to come forward to the police.
