The York Regional Police said a man in his twenties is in critical condition after being shot in Vaughan early Saturday morning. Officers responded to a shooting in the area of Highway 7 and Exchange Road around 3:30 a.m., and upon arrival, officers found a man in a parking lot with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries where he underwent surgery this morning. The police also stated that although this is not a homicide, the homicide unit took over due to the nature of the situation as there were several potential witnesses in the area, who investigators urged to come forward with their testimonies.
