Indian Prime Minister "Narendra Modi" announced during his speech at the first session of the G20 summit that opened in New Delhi the launch of the Global Biofuel Alliance, as reported by the Russian news agency "TASS" on Saturday.

The Indian Prime Minister noted that this alliance was created to protect the environment and promote the transition in the energy sector.

Modi said: "Today we launch the Global Biofuel Alliance. India invites all of you to join this initiative."

The Indian government chief pointed out that his country is also proposing to increase the ethanol blend in gasoline, which reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

He added: "We propose to take the initiative to increase the ethanol share in gasoline to 20 percent worldwide."

The G20 summit is being held in New Delhi from the 9th to the 10th, and in addition to the group members, nine other countries—Bangladesh, Egypt, Spain, Mauritius, Nigeria, the Netherlands, the UAE, Oman, and Singapore—have been invited to attend. Representing Russia at this summit is its foreign minister, Sergey Lavrov.

Indian Prime Minister "Narendra Modi" appeared during the first session of the G20 summit that opened in New Delhi, with a sign reading "Bharat" instead of India to identify his country, as reported by the Russian news agency "Novosti" on Saturday.

According to the Indian constitution, English and Hindi are the official languages of the country, with the country being called "India" in English and "Bharat" in Hindi.

The country's president, Droupadi Murmu, had used the term "President of Bharat" instead of "President of India" for the first time in written invitations in English for the G20 summit dinner.
