King Mohammed VI arrived today, Tuesday, at the university hospital in Marrakech to visit the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck the country on Friday night, according to the Moroccan news agency, which indicated that he donated blood for the victims.
The agency stated that the Moroccan monarch "visited the Mohammed VI university hospital center in Marrakech this Tuesday afternoon, where he checked on the health status of the injured, the victims of the tragic earthquake."
The agency also added that the Moroccan monarch "donated blood" in solidarity with the victims.
The number of victims of the Morocco earthquake has approached 3,000 as search operations for survivors continue.
