The Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II, met at Al-Husseiniya Palace today, Wednesday, with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid.
The Jordanian monarch told Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid in Amman that the Palestinians must be part of the regional economic projects sponsored by the United States to enhance stability in the Middle East.
During the meeting, he affirmed the need to find a political horizon to achieve a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace based on the two-state solution, and to promote security, stability, and regional development that the Palestinians must be part of.
King Abdullah II pointed to the importance of building on the visit of US President Joe Biden to the region. He stressed the necessity of maintaining comprehensive calm in the coming period, and respecting the existing historical and legal status in Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
The meeting also addressed issues of transportation, trade, water, energy, and ways to deal with them.
