Indian Minister of Renewable Energy Bupinder Singh Bhala stated that India expects to add 25 gigawatts of renewable energy during the current fiscal year up until March, compared to 15 gigawatts last year.

Bhala added that India has enough land to meet its target of generating 500 gigawatts from renewable energy sources.

Bhala mentioned that the state of Rajasthan alone has allocated 11,000 square kilometers of land that could contribute to achieving India’s renewable energy goals by 2030.

Bhala added that India will continue to build large renewable energy complexes to accelerate the development process.
