The Czech News Agency announced that Nigeria canceled a planned visit by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala to the capital Abuja, due to the latter's support for the Israeli occupation in its aggression against the Gaza Strip.
The Czech agency explained, based on diplomatic sources, that the cancellation of the visit came as a result of the Czech Republic voting against a draft resolution for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip at the United Nations General Assembly on October 27.
For his part, Czech government spokesman Václav Smolka stated in a press statement that Nigeria informed them that it was not in a suitable position for the visit and to organize the planned economic forum during the visit.
As a result of Nigeria canceling the visit, the Czech Prime Minister continues his talks in Cameroon, as part of an African tour he began on November 3.
This comes while the Israeli occupation has continued for 33 days a destructive war on Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of 10,328 people, including 4,237 children, 2,719 women, and 631 elderly, and more than 25,000 others were injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip.
