The number of Canadians who acquired cars ranked among the worst 10 cars in terms of sales in Canada last year was only 7,086. This represents less than 0.5% of the entire new car market in Canada.
Despite the negative conditions facing the automotive sector in general, sales of some of these cars increased during 2022 compared to what they were in 2021.
Below is a list of the worst 10 cars in terms of sales in Canada during 2022:
Nissan Versa: 1,286 units sold, down 56%
Kia Niro: 1,234 units sold, down 72%
Kia K5: 934 units sold, down 30%
Mazda MX-30: 812 units sold, up 449%
Toyota GR86: 713 units sold, up 838%
Subaru BRZ: 623 units sold, up 42%
Subaru Legacy: 566 units sold, down 40%
Nissan Armada: 427 units sold, down 28%
Jeep Renegade: 345 units sold, up 14%
Toyota Sequoia: 146 units sold, down 65%
