Zellers stores returned to the retail scene in Canada in March through a store-within-a-store format at The Bay locations across Canada, but just days after the heavily promoted brand revival, the joy of the return seems to have turned into a feeling of disappointment.

People formed long lines at shopping centers such as Erin Mills Town Centre and Scarborough Town Centre for a chance to satisfy their nostalgia.

However, like every failed reboot of your favorite childhood movies, the revival does not quite match the nostalgia for some shoppers; some were disappointed to learn that the department store returned in a limited form only.

It appears that frustrated customers flock to the store more out of curiosity and nostalgia than an actual need to purchase merchandise,

while others expressed a general and undefined disappointment with the Zellers revival.

Even Zellers' food, which is now offered in food trucks instead of in-store restaurants, was disappointing.
