No reports of injuries were received after a fire explosion under the Bathurst Street bridge in Fort York late Saturday.
Emergency crews responded to a call at Bathurst Street and Fort York Boulevard shortly after 11 p.m. following reports of an explosion under the bridge.
Videos posted on social media showed loud fire explosions under the bridge and thick smoke rising from the area.
In the same context, Toronto Fire said it extinguished a fire at the site, but did not specify exactly what caught fire or how it started. They said Toronto Fire investigators will investigate the incident and then provide everyone with the necessary information.
The busy bridge is located next to the Fort York Library and several residential towers.
Bathurst Street was also closed most of the night, but it was reopened around 6:30 a.m.
