The vast majority of Ottawa residents are still without power.
Hydro Ottawa says it aims to have most of its system up and running by the end of the day, with smaller pockets restored over the weekend.
However, it warns that weather could affect restoration efforts in the event of high winds, rain, and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the company said customers in the Bancroft, Perth, and Tweed areas are expected to remain without power for several days.
At least 11 people died as a result of the storm that swept through Ontario on Saturday.
The latest death, published on Thursday, was a 58-year-old man whom the provincial police said died after a tree fell on him in a remote area in the Municipality of Marmora & Lake.
