An evacuation order has been issued for the Canadian town of Osoyoos and the surrounding area in British Columbia, due to an out-of-control wildfire that spread from the state of Washington, USA.
The British Columbia Wildfire Service stated that the fire covers an area of about 900 hectares on the Canadian side of the border.
It is noted that the population of Osoyoos reaches six thousand seven hundred people. Local authorities say the situation has not changed much, adding that they are focusing resources on the eastern side of the fire.
