EU leaders are meeting today, Thursday, for two days in Brussels, at a summit aimed at reaching a call for a "humanitarian ceasefire" regarding what is happening in Gaza in order to allow aid to reach the sector.
The European Union is striving to reach a unified position regarding the events shaking the Middle East since the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation launched by the Palestinian resistance represented by the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, since October 7 in response to the crimes perpetrated by the Zionist entity against the Palestinians.
The draft statement of the European summit calls for "the continuous, swift, safe, and unobstructed delivery of humanitarian support and the transfer of assistance to those in need through all necessary measures, including a humanitarian ceasefire."
The Zionist bombing of the Gaza Strip has resulted in the martyrdom of 6,546 Palestinians, including 2,704 children, according to the latest toll issued by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday.
