Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister Ismail Khairat confirmed that Egypt is ready to evacuate and receive foreign nationals from the Gaza Strip, numbering about 7,000 foreign citizens holding the nationality of more than 60 countries.
During the meeting held with ambassadors and representatives of foreign embassies to brief them on the efforts of the Egyptian state related to the start of opening the Rafah crossing, the Egyptian minister spoke about the plan to receive and evacuate foreign nationals in the Gaza Strip according to the instructions and Egyptian laws regulating this, and the role assigned to each foreign mission in receiving its nationals from the Rafah crossing, especially regarding the issuance of necessary travel documents for the citizens of those countries to allow them to enter Egyptian territory and evacuate them within the specified time period and taking the necessary logistical arrangements for that.
