Despite the anxiety that affected everyone due to the solar eclipse, it did not prevent a couple in Ontario from getting married and not postponing it for fear of the consequences of the solar eclipse,
A couple from Ontario held their wedding ceremony yesterday, Monday, on the beach on the day of the solar eclipse to celebrate their marriage in a special way.
They gathered with family and friends, as well as spectators waiting on Crystal Beach in Fort Erie to watch the solar eclipse, which occurred at around 3:15 pm yesterday, Monday.
The groom, Noel Thompson, said that planning for this event was simple, adding that they sent a text message to everyone they wanted to invite, providing a great place to watch the eclipse.
Thompson said: "Just the opportunity to share our moments with other people was very wonderful for me."
Stephanie Robinson, newly married from Hamilton, Ontario, said: “I thought it was very romantic.”
The couple had been together for six years and have a four-year-old son, and they said that holding their wedding on the day of the eclipse made the whole event very special.
