A 27-year-old young man was stabbed and killed early Friday morning in the Mile End neighborhood of Montreal. The police received an emergency call around 5 a.m. following an alleged fight between two people that led to a man being stabbed on Jean Talon Street, near Van Horne Street. Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant said in this regard: "It was a stabbing fight after which the victim, and when the officers arrived at the scene, he had already been declared dead." The victim is also considered the 26th murder in Montreal in 2022 according to the latest statistics. Also, the police arrested a 28-year-old suspect related to the fatal stabbing incident who allegedly fled on foot before SPVM officers later arrested him. He is expected to appear in court via video on Saturday.
