Highway 401 in Cambridge will be closed at night on Saturday as crews demolish the southbound Hespeler Road bridge.
The closure will begin between Hespeler Road and Townline Road at 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 30.
The highway is scheduled to reopen at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 1. The province said in a public notice that the entire traffic pattern will be changed and significant delays are expected.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area. The work is part of a project to expand Highway 401 through Cambridge from six lanes to 10 lanes.
