The Niagara Falls and the Capilano Bridge (Edmonton) in Canada are expected to be adorned with the colors of the Moroccan flag, through a special lighting to illuminate the waters of one of the most famous waterfalls in the world, in celebration of the 24th anniversary of the Glorious Throne Day.
This was confirmed by a post from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ottawa on the social media platform Twitter, indicating that this event will be organized this evening, Saturday, July 29, coinciding with the celebrations of the Glorious Throne Day in Morocco.
Additionally, the embassy confirmed that the Moroccan flag will be raised in Laval, North Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa, Toronto, Saskatoon, Fredericton, Winnipeg, White Rock, and Edmonton.
The 24th anniversary of King Mohammed VI's ascension to the throne of his blessed ancestors will take place tomorrow, Sunday, July 30, during which the Moroccan people recall the highest manifestations of pride and honor, and the strength and firmness of the deep connection that has always united the Moroccan monarch with the glorious Alawite throne.
This glorious anniversary comes every year to highlight the strong bonds of love and the steadfast attachment of the Moroccan people to King Mohammed VI.
The Moroccan people celebrate this anniversary filled with significant historical meanings and implications, reaffirming the strength of the legitimate allegiance, by invoking its religious aspect based on the sound teachings of the noble Islamic religion, and their steadfast commitment to commemorating this glorious national holiday in line with the ancient customs and traditions of the Kingdom of Morocco.
In the midst of the celebration of this great national anniversary, which marks the ascension of King Mohammed VI to the throne of his ancestors on July 30, 1999, Moroccans recall the important struggles and glorious battles fought by his grandfather King Mohammed V and King Hassan II, alongside the sons of the Moroccan people, paving the way for the establishment of a Morocco of freedom, openness, and progress in all its economic, social, and cultural aspects.
