CommercialSearch, a real estate company in the United States, gathered data on cities with a population of over 400,000 people worldwide to identify the best options for remote workers.
The study considered two main factors in the ranking:
Affordability.
Internet access.
Calgary ranked first in North America, while it ranked seventh globally.
At the same time, Bangkok ranked first globally, followed by Shanghai.
Calgary also boasts the fastest internet speed compared to all cities included in the study, surpassing other major destinations like San Antonio, Singapore, Shanghai, and Madrid.
The good safety level in Calgary also played a role in the city's ranking, where it scored 9.5 out of 15 points, but it received lower scores in terms of affordability.
