A Palestinian refugee in Canada revealed that the Canadian authorities issued the necessary permit to bring her sick daughter from the Gaza Strip, but it was after two weeks of her death.

According to "CBC News," the Palestinian refugee mother Samar Al-Khudour applied to the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs a few years ago to bring her sick daughter from Gaza to Canada, but her daughter died before the permit was issued.

The refugee has not been able to see her daughter since 2017

The Palestinian refugee Al-Khudour has not been able to see her daughter (13 years old), who suffers from cerebral palsy and had been living with relatives in Gaza since 2017.

Al-Khudour said that her daughter sought refuge in a church with her relatives when the Israeli occupation began its attack on Gaza after October 7, 2023.

The girl had to take special medicines and foods due to her illness, but her needs were not met due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which worsened her health condition and led to her death.

Two weeks after her daughter's death, the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a permit allowing her to be brought from Gaza, according to the Palestinian mother.

In the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation deliberately targets hospitals and medical centers as part of its destructive war, and imposed a severe siege on the Strip, which exacerbated the suffering of patients due to the shortage of medicines and medical supplies.
