Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced today, Wednesday, a wide-ranging cabinet reshuffle that includes the Ministries of Defense, Justice, Treasury, and Housing. Here are the key appointments in the new adjustments:
New Minister of Defense, Bill Blair.
Minister of Justice, Arif Virani.
Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Sean Fraser.
No cabinet changes were made in the Ministry of Finance, Foreign Affairs, or Natural Resources.
It is worth noting that four ministers in the Canadian Liberal government announced their resignations from their positions yesterday, Tuesday, and will not run in the upcoming elections, as a federal cabinet reshuffle is expected. Both Minister of Transportation Omar Alghabra and Minister of Procurement Helena Jaczek made this announcement via Twitter, early yesterday morning, after Minister of Mental Health and Addiction Carolyn Bennett and Minister of Fisheries, Oceans, and the Canadian Coast Guard Joyce Murray announced their resignations from their posts.
