With the arrival of the blessed Eid al-Adha and the increase in family gatherings, some fall into nutritional mistakes, such as indulging in unhealthy meals and soft drinks. The medical site Consulto points to some tips that may succeed in passing the Eid period healthily.

Among the tips that should be followed are the following:

Do not overeat meat, and a salad plate should be eaten with every meal as it helps increase the feeling of fullness, thus reducing the desire to consume more food.
Avoid foods that contain carbohydrates like rice and pasta, as the body converts them into sugars, which accumulate in areas with weak muscles, such as the abdomen, waist, and hips, in the form of fats, leading to weight gain.
Avoid complex carbohydrates found in potatoes and sweet potatoes.
Avoid soft drinks due to their high calorie content and high sugar levels, which increase the percentage of accumulated fat in the body.
The medical site advised consuming grilled or boiled meat, which reduces the amount of fats and oils.

Finally, water can play a big role in the rapid digestion process and preventing weight gain, as water alongside meals helps increase the fat burning rate in the body.
