Yellow stains on teeth can be a problem for some and often affect their self-confidence. According to a report published by the Times of India, treatments made from everyday ingredients that are easy to find can be used and may help whiten teeth safely over time.

Here are seven simple remedies to combat yellow stains on teeth:

1- Baking Soda and Lemon Paste
Baking soda is a natural whitening agent, while lemon juice adds a new level of acidity that can help dissolve surface stains. When mixed together, they form a gentle scrub for the teeth. However, care should be taken to use this paste sparingly, as the acidity of lemon juice can weaken tooth enamel if used excessively.

2- Coconut Oil
Rinsing the mouth with coconut oil is an ancient technique that helps remove toxins from the mouth and surface stains. A tablespoon of organic coconut oil is taken and used as a mouthwash for 10-15 minutes, ensuring that the coconut oil reaches every corner of the mouth. The oil is then spat out and the mouth is rinsed thoroughly with warm water.

3- Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse
Apple cider vinegar is known for its ability to break down plaque and stains, thanks to its mild acidity. A teaspoon of apple cider vinegar is diluted in a cup of water and then swished around in the mouth for about 30 seconds. The apple cider vinegar rinse is then spat out and the mouth is rinsed with plain water.

4- Activated Charcoal
Activated charcoal is highly porous and helps absorb surface stains from teeth. It is a popular natural remedy for whitening teeth. A wet toothbrush is dipped in activated charcoal powder and the teeth are gently brushed for two minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water. This method can be used once or twice a week.

5- Strawberry and Baking Soda
Strawberries contain malic acid, which is a natural enzyme that helps remove stains. When mixed with baking soda, it forms a powerful natural whitener. A ripe strawberry is mashed and then mixed with half a teaspoon of baking soda to form a paste. The natural mixture is applied to the teeth for 5 minutes.

6- Hydrogen Peroxide Paste
Hydrogen peroxide is a common ingredient in commercial teeth whiteners, and when combined with baking soda, it can effectively help remove yellow stains. A small amount of 25% hydrogen peroxide is mixed with baking soda to form a paste. The teeth are gently cleaned using the paste for two minutes, then the mouth is rinsed thoroughly.

7- More Crunchy Vegetables
Crunchy fruits and vegetables like apples, carrots, and celery act as natural toothbrushes. Their texture helps remove food particles and surface stains while promoting saliva production, which cleans the teeth.
