The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, said on Tuesday that she hopes the global economy will not have to wait until the last moments to reach a solution to the US debt ceiling crisis.

She added at a press conference in London, "We hope we do not have to wait all this time."
