A handful of water

I am the shadow of metaphor

 on the balconies of allusion

and the sheet of the letter and its pillow is the maze

O my broken annex

to the compartments of my silence

and the folds of exile

for the metaphors of my splitting

and the line is the crack of the soul

 in the metaphysical

I crawl and stumble

and the outpourings like drowning

affect my turning

who restrains the wave

when the wind gets drunk

and if the shore is tempted by the tides

we have become vows to the ink

and the wagon of captivity is its mare eloquence

where do all those exiles come from

but from where do the streams flow

as if I am a handful of water

 in the river of eloquence!!
