The United Nations announced that 6 employees of UNRWA "United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees" were killed as a result of Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours.

For its part, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated in a statement that the total death toll among UNRWA staff since October 7 has risen to 35.

The office expressed its sorrow over this loss in a post on the platform "X", adding that words fail us, while UNRWA reported that these 35 victims "are not just numbers. They are our friends and colleagues, many of whom were teachers in our schools, and UNRWA mourns this tremendous loss.

Israeli raids have rekindled in various areas of the city of Gaza, intensifying its strikes on areas in the Shujaiya neighborhood in the eastern sector, where 7 martyrs and several injuries fell in a bombing targeting a house in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.

In the same context, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported the martyrdom of at least 42 Palestinian citizens, including children, and dozens were injured, with some injuries described as critical and severe, during Israeli airstrikes that targeted several homes of citizens in Khan Younis camp and in Rafah in southern Gaza Strip early Tuesday.

The agency quoted medical sources that 14 martyrs, including children, fell, and at least 45 citizens were injured with various and severe injuries, transferred to Nasser Hospital, due to Israeli airstrikes targeting many homes of citizens in the center and east of Khan Younis.

The Palestinian agency clarified that rescue operations are still ongoing, up to the preparation of this news, to retrieve several victims from under the rubble of the targeted homes.
