Canadian retirees will receive the latest payments from the Canadian Pension Plan (CPP) on Tuesday. CPP payments will be deposited into the accounts of eligible Canadians who have set up direct deposit.
Others will receive a check by mail during the last three working days of the month.
The final payment of federal benefits for this year is scheduled for November 27 and December 20.
Eligible Canadians will also receive taxable benefits every month for the rest of their lives to replace part of their income upon retirement.
It is worth mentioning that for individuals to qualify for the CPP program, they must be at least 60 years old and have made at least one contribution to the plan, according to the Canadian government.
It stated that contributions must be made from work performed in Canada or as a result of credits from a former spouse or common-law partner.
