Former US President Donald Trump posted a tweet on the social network he owns in which he criticized the Jews in his country, considering that he is not sufficiently appreciated by them while he could easily become Prime Minister of Israel.

Trump wrote on the "Trut Social" network: "No Israeli president has done more for Israel than I have. Interestingly, our evangelical Christian community appreciates my efforts much more than the Jews, especially those living in the United States."

He added that while American Jews do not appreciate him enough, he enjoys great respect in Israel, saying: "For the Jews living in Israel, it is a completely different story. I have a high rating there and could easily be elected as the Prime Minister of Israel."

Trump concluded that "American Jews need to reset and understand what they have in Israel - before it is too late for them."

This is not the first time Trump has criticized the Jews in his country, who number about 6 million.

In June 2021, the former US president stated that "American Jews do not love Israel enough," expressing his regret over receiving a small share of the Jewish American votes in the presidential election held at the end of 2020, which was won by the Democratic candidate Joe Biden.

At that time, Trump said in an interview with the extremist Orthodox weekly newspaper "Ami": "Do you know what really surprises me? I did the Golan Heights, I did Jerusalem, and I did Iran, as well as many other things," referring to his decision to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights and Jerusalem and his withdrawal from the Iranian nuclear deal.

He continued that "Jews living in the United States do not love Israel enough," noting that he excluded the Orthodox community from his criticism, who were very supportive of him.

He added: "I believe we got 25 percent of the Jewish votes, and this is illogical, it seems strange to me."

During his years in office, Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moved his country's embassy from Tel Aviv to it, a step that all previous US administrations had refrained from, as well as recognizing American sovereignty over the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, supporting Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, in addition to pushing the "Deal of the Century," which Palestinians describe as "unjust."
