Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau extended Canada’s training mission for Ukrainian soldiers, announcing this step today in Indonesia, following reports of two deaths in Poland from a missile on Tuesday.
Also speaking on the sidelines of the G20 summit, Trudeau said there should be an investigation into what happened and no escalation, but he said Russia is to blame for starting the conflict.
Similarly, Canada has been training Ukrainian soldiers in the UK since 2015, as part of what is called Operation Unifier.
In the same context, Trudeau took part this morning in talks with other G7 leaders and members of the NATO military alliance on how to respond to the incident in Poland.
