Blair added that the world is in a phase of historical transformation that can be compared to the end of World War II or the collapse of the Soviet Union, but this time, clearly, the West is not on the winning side.

The end of Western political and economic dominance

Tony Blair said, in a lecture titled "After Ukraine, what are the current lessons for Western leadership?" at a forum supporting the alliance between the United States and Europe in Ditchley Park west of London: We are witnessing the end of Western political and economic dominance, and the world will become at least bipolar or multipolar.. The biggest geopolitical change of this century will come from China and not from Russia.

Blair pointed out that the Ukraine war has made it absolutely clear that the West cannot rely on China "to act in a way that we consider rational," where China's place as a great power is natural and justified. It is not the Soviet Union, but the West must not allow China to surpass it militarily.
