The World Health Organization warned today, Monday, August 7, 2023, of a contaminated shipment of cough medicine found in Iraq manufactured by one of the Indian companies.
The organization explained that the "shipment of the medicine sold under the name "Cold Out" contains the contaminants "diethylene glycol" and "ethylene glycol" at levels higher than the permissible limit.
The organization also mentioned that "the shipment is manufactured by "Fortis Laboratories India" for "Dabi Life Pharma."
Moreover, Bloomberg reported days ago that a sample of "Cold Out" purchased in Baghdad in March contained unsafe levels of "ethylene glycol," a toxic industrial solvent.
