The Palestinian Students' Union at the University of Ottawa, in partnership with other Canadian-Palestinian associations, called for a protest march today, Sunday, in the Canadian capital Ottawa to express their rejection of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, especially the targeting of innocent civilians and residential towers.
There is a great sense of concern among members of the Palestinian community who have family and relatives in Gaza, fearing that they may be harmed by the continued Israeli bombardment targeting residential towers.
It is worth mentioning that the number of Palestinian victims as a result of the Israeli aggression on Gaza has exceeded 300 martyrs and more than two thousand injured.
Additionally, it should be noted that bloody events have begun since the dawn of Saturday between Israelis and Palestinians and are still escalating at this moment, resulting in thousands of dead and wounded from both sides.
On the other hand, Israeli and international media reported significant Israeli losses amounting to 660 dead, including 58 soldiers and high-ranking Israeli officers, with more than two thousand injured, many of whom are in critical condition, and there are hundreds of missing Israelis whose fate is still unknown.
The Israeli government announced that there are more than 100 Israeli prisoners held by the Palestinian Hamas movement, captured during the current operation that the Palestinian group calls "Flood of Al-Aqsa."
On another note, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced yesterday in a tweet on platform X that they are monitoring developments in the area and their implications and are working to ensure that no hatred is incited against any group of Canadian citizens.
