The health department of Nineveh province in Iraq announced today, Saturday, an increase in the death toll from the Hamdaniya wedding fire to 107, including 41 unidentified victims.

The bride lost her entire family, including her three brothers and her mother-in-law after the deadly fire broke out in the hall during the couple's first dance.

The couple was dancing the opening dance at their wedding in the northern town of Qaraqosh near Mosul when their celebration turned into a tragedy.

Social media users circulated a new terrifying video showing hundreds of panicked wedding guests screaming for their loved ones before running towards the exits of the large hall, where the flames spread quickly through an ornate chandelier overhead.

The room turned dark red as flames began to rapidly climb the walls, and a woman could be heard screaming in horror as the burning debris collapsed onto the white tablecloths below.

The couple, who were initially feared dead, managed to escape through the kitchen. However, more than 100 wedding guests, including the bride's three brothers, her uncles, and young cousins, as well as the groom's mother, all perished in the fire.

Jamil Al-Jameel said that the devastating blow of losing so many family members far outweighs the "minor burns" they sustained in the fire.

The bride lost her entire family – three brothers and all her uncles and young cousins, and Jamil said the groom lost his mother.
