The Canadian men's basketball team qualifies for the quarter-finals in the World Cup.

The Canadian men's basketball team has secured its ticket to the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris.

Canada defeated Spain 88-85 in a FIBA World Cup match on Sunday in Jakarta, advancing to the quarterfinals of the tournament.

This victory, along with the losses of Brazil, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic, secures a spot for Canada in the Olympic basketball tournament of the Americas.
