The first days of submitting income tax returns online have begun; the tax return season has officially started, and the tax agency mentioned that those who submitted their applications on paper were also required to submit their income tax package by mail.
Most Canadians must also file their tax returns by the upcoming April 30th deadline.
The agency also reported that Canadians who are self-employed and those of their spouses and common-law partners will have a deadline until June 15th, which falls on a weekend.
Self-employed Canadians will also have to pay the amounts owed to the CRA by the April 30th deadline to avoid paying interest.
