The Syrian Interior Ministry revealed details of the incident involving the murder of a doctor and his wife in Hama Governorate in the center of the country, after they were shot and a bomb was detonated by their daughter's husband.
The Syrian Interior Ministry stated in a statement, "The death of Dr. Issam Housha and his wife, and the injury of their two children due to gunfire and the explosion of a bomb in their home by their son-in-law."
The statement added, revealing more details: "At 15:30 on 2023/9/30, a report was received by the police in the Ghab area in Hama from the Al-Suqaylabiyah National Hospital about the passing of Dr. Issam Housha and his wife, known as Rujaa Al-Ahmad, and the serious injuries of their two children (Rima) and (Zain), as well as their son-in-law, known as (Ahmed.A), with severe wounds from shrapnel all over their bodies."
The statement continued: "Immediately, patrols from the Ghab police and the Criminal Security Center headed to the location, and preliminary investigations revealed that the doctor’s son-in-law, known as (Ahmed.A), shot and threw a hand grenade, detonating it in Dr. Issam's house located in the village of Hawrat Amourin, which belongs to the Tal Sahlab area in Hama, resulting in the death of him and his wife, and the injury of their children and their son-in-law, the shooter, due to family disputes."
The statement concluded by saying: "A military rifle and three hand grenades were seized from the scene of the incident, and investigations are still ongoing."
