The old woman with green eyes captivated the hearts of those who saw her with her light-hearted appearance, but the end was painful at the hands of an Israeli sniper.
The Palestinian photographer Saleh Al-Jaafrawi, who interviewed her, confirmed the martyrdom of Hajjah Hadiya Nassar at the hands of an Israeli sniper in the Gaza Strip.
'My age is older than Israel'
Hajjah Hadiya, owner of the famous clip "My age is older than Israel," was born in 1944, four years before the Nakba, and the lady with green eyes and beautiful features captured the hearts of millions after her talk with the Palestinian photographer.
The photographer wrote on his Instagram page, "Oh my love, my Hajjah, may God have mercy on you and make your abode in paradise. You told me your name is Saleh, and you are Saleh."
'My eyes are green'
The old woman Hadiya Nassar appeared with the Palestinian photographer, who went to visit her in the hospital, while she was being treated for fractures in her hands and a minor injury on her face, sitting with one of her relatives. Admiring her beautiful eyes, he said: "I'm coming to check on you, your eyes are blue and amazing and honey-colored," to which she shyly replied that her eyes are green. Through the clip and a long conversation, the photographer issued her birth certificate saying to her: "You were born in 1944, meaning you were born before the Nakba, your age is older than the Israeli occupation."
'Clinging to the land'
In the video, she recalled her memories saying: "I have been baking on the clay oven for more than 20 years," adding, "Palestine is our land, I am clinging to the land, my country if it is stingy with me with water and my family if they are harsh with me, we are affectionate."
